From the moment that I first met Amanda and her parents last winter I knew that this Finger Lakes wedding was going to be a fun one!
There is a bit of a unique story here because this brand new wedding venue (I don’t think it officially has a name yet!) is a beautiful old barn on the family’s property on Cayuga Lake in Interlaken, NY. Amanda’s family renovated the barn from the ground up to transform it in to the perfect setting for a New York barn wedding.
You’ll have to wait a bit for the barn photos though! Amanda & John got ready for their wedding day in neighboring lake houses and utilized the property’s dock for a bunch of their wedding day photos.

John’s parents are no longer with us so the little detail of these super cool cufflinks was important. Â His mother gave these cufflinks as a gift to his uncle when he went off to the Army along with the advice “don’t be a horse’s…” Â Well, we’ll just call these the horse’s rear end cufflinks for now 🙂
Does it get any more fun than the mother of the bride driving daughter and father in to the wedding ceremony in a huge tractor? Â No, no it doesn’t!
This chuppa was great too! Â See, Amanda’s mother constructed the entire thing for the wedding and the covering is fashioned from a tapestry that was given to her grandmother!
This was also the same view from the wedding ceremony site at the top of the property. Â Simply beautiful.

The guys who kept this party going were Chicken Slacks from Boston! Â Such a fun band!
The wedding hora is always a blast! Â Such a moment of joy to start off the newly married couple in life!
and… I couldn’t pass up this opportunity to finish off the night!
Catering for the reception was by Phoebe’s and all the details of making the day run smoothly and beautiful were taken care of by Kate of Lovewell Celebration Design!

Wow…..And I thought the pig roast was a hoot! The tractor being driven by Brenda in a gown….how totally cool! Very neat people – the whole gang of ya – and I wish you both the very best loving life together with such a cool family.
